Pc game-Volkswagen GTI Racing Demo

Pc game-Volkswagen GTI Racing

Techland touts that GTI Racing has a realistic driving model with dynamic race surroundings, and that's mostly true. The driving model leans a bit more toward the action arcade style of racing from what we can tell, but there's enough physics to give you the sensation of realistic physics. We powerslid around corners, spun out of control on grass, and generally had a blast playing bumper cars with our opponents, trying to nudge them into obstacles on the side of the road. (Better us than them, because the artificial intelligence won't hesitate about trying to do the same to you.) The gameworld is full of physical objects, such as road signs and barriers, as well as logs and hay bails, and they're persistent, so if you knock a few barriers onto the road, they'll still be on the roadway on the following lap.

GTI Racing also features damage modeling and car deformations, so you can take that pretty new car of yours and mess it up quite a bit. Windshields crack and dents and warps appear in the paneling, though we must admit that it took quite a bit of rubbing against other cars and side rails to inflict really noticeable damage. Of course, you'll want to avoid damage if possible in career mode, as it'll cost you to repair your cars in the garage between races.

Speaking of the garage, you'll also be able to customize your cars a great deal. You can tune your car pretty much every way conceivable by adjusting the gear ratio, suspension height and stiffness, tire width, sports transmissions, and so on. To top it off, the game features real-world parts manufacturers such as Brebmo, Kamei, Remus, and Zender. And if bling's your thing, you can trick out your Volkswagen with xenon lights, spoilers, rims, and custom exhausts, to name but a few. And you can also give your car a custom paint job.

Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones is an action-adventure computer and video game developed and published by Ubisoft Montreal. It was released in December, 2005 in North America for the Xbox, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2, and the Nintendo GameCube. It was ported to the PlayStation Portable and Wii[1], under the title Prince of Persia: Rival Swords with the Wii version utilizing the motion-sensing functionality of its controller. A remastered, High-Definition, version of The Two Thrones was released on the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 on December 21, 2010.[2]
Following Warrior Within, The Two Thrones is the closing chapter in the Sands of Time saga.

Plot

Setting

Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones follows the second ending of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, in which the Prince kills the Dahaka, essentially saving Kaileena. The game opens with the Prince and Kaileena about to sail into Babylon's port. Kaileena offers narration of the events passed and the story following, similar to the Prince's role as both protagonist and narrator in The Sands of Time.

Synopsis

After the events of the previous game, the Prince (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal) and Kaileena return to Babylon. As the Prince's vessel nears the shores of the city, he removes the medallion from his chestplate and drops it into the sea. Upon returning to Babylon, he is horrified to find that the city is currently being ravaged by war. His ship is attacked and he and Kaileena are thrown overboard, with Kaileena taken prisoner after drifting ashore. He then tries to rescue Kaileena, but ultimately, finds his old enemy the Vizier once again alive and is held prisoner while the Vizier kills Kaileena with the Dagger of Time, unleashing the Sands of Time once more and taking them into the Dagger. The Vizier then impales himself with the Dagger, making himself immortal. The Prince is also affected, having a whip-like weapon known as a Daggertail embedded in his skin when the Sands infect the wound. However in the confusion of his transformation the Vizier drops the Dagger and the Prince manages to steal it and escape before he is totally infected by the Sands.
Through mischance during his escape, the Prince finds himself cast into the sewers and carried to the outskirts of Babylon. As the Prince travels through the city once again to kill the Vizier, he realizes that by taking Kaileena from the Island of Time, his adventures in Azad never happened, thus, he never killed the Vizier. He also finds that his infection by the Sands of Time have affected his mind. He has essentially been split into two personalities: one which, for the most part, strives to do good, although is fueled by vengeance, and the Dark Prince (voiced by Rick Miller), manifested by an internal voice that speaks to the Prince. The Dark Prince is cold, cruel, arrogant, and sarcastic, and attempts to convince the Prince that they are the same person, and that the Prince should strive to serve only himself, using the Prince's vengeance as a catalyst for his other emotions. On many occasions, the Dark Prince seizes control of the Prince's body and the Prince is fully transformed into a kind of hybrid sand monster with abilities that allow the Prince to pass otherwise insurmountable obstacles.
While searching for the Vizier, the Prince encounters Farah (voiced by Helen King), who does not remember him, and is surprised that the Prince knows her name. Despite this, the pair begin to grow an entirely new romance together. The Prince eventually starts to ignore the Dark Prince, and begins to fight for the suffering of his people, which the Dark Prince had always spoken against. When the Prince finally confronts the Vizier, the Vizier captures Farah and casts the Prince into an ancient well, where the long silent Dark Prince emerges once again and tries to take permanent control. The Prince desperately tries to resist the Dark Prince, driving slowing deeper into the well looking for an escape, but he slowly weakens. At the very bottom of the well the Prince finds his father's dead body and the Dark Prince tries mocks the Prince in another attempt at control, but instead the Prince accepts the consequences of what he has done, thus silencing the Dark Prince and regaining full control of himself.
Armed with his father's sword, the Prince escapes the well, and once again confronts the Vizier and kills him with a stab to the heart with the Dagger of Time. The Sands of Time released from the dead Vizier slowly takes the shape of Kaileena and she cleanses the Prince of his infection by the Sands of Time, and all his wounds. As the Prince leans down to reach for his father's crown, which the Vizier had worn, he is confronted by the Dark Prince, who draws the Prince into his mind, where the two struggle for control, ending with the Dark Prince ultimately being silenced. The Prince then awakens in Farah's embrace. Farah then asks the Prince how he really knew her name. He replies,
"Most people think time is like a river, that flows swift and sure in one direction. But I have seen the face of time, and I can tell you, they are wrong. Time is an ocean in a storm. You may wonder who I really am, and why I say this. Come, and I will tell you a tale like none you have ever heard."
This is the same line the Prince narrates at the beginning of the first game of the trilogy, indicating that the entire trilogy has been the Prince telling Farah the story of his adventures. Reinforcing this is a high-definition rendering of the opening moments of The Sands of Time.[3]

Gameplay

The Two Thrones combines exploration and combat. Both elements make use of the Prince's acrobatic capability and agility. Throughout much of the game, the player must attempt to traverse the palace by running across walls, ascending or descending chasms by jumping back and forth between walls, avoiding traps, climbing structures and jumping from platform to platform, making other types of well-timed leaps, solving puzzles, and using discovered objects to progress.
During combat, many of the same moves vital to the player in other situations can be put to use to overpower enemies. An example is the ability of the Prince to rebound off walls in order to strike enemies decisively. The player generally attacks enemies and blocks using a dagger, although other objects/factors, such as the Dagger of Time and its time-control abilities eventually prove to be critical to victory.
In The Two Thrones, the Prince's acrobatic skills have improved. He is now able to launch himself off walls at 45 degree angles at strategically placed vertical shutters, slide down chutes, and balance on swinging poles, among other things. The designers have also improved the stealth system. Instead of merely being able to do more damage when striking without being seen, The Two Thrones uses a speed-kill system. If the player does not complete the speed kill, the enemy knocks him off and the speed kill fails. The amount of moves or the length of time required depends on how strong the opponents are. The same system is also used in some of the boss battles.
The Prince also develops a split personality, known as the Dark Prince, and this alter-ego constantly bickers with him in his mind about right and wrong. At times, the Prince physically transforms into the Dark Prince. These transformations are scripted and not controlled by the player. During these times, however, the Prince retains control of his body, and the player still has control over the character. For the most part, the Prince's dark side is simply an inner voice.
When controlling the Dark Prince, the player loses the ability to wield a secondary weapon, instead using the "Daggertail", a bladed whip fused to his arm. This allows medium range combat moves and new interactions with the environment. The Dark Prince also constantly loses health as a result of the semi-transformation, with eventual death from the loss. He goes back to full health whenever he collects Sand, from either a monster or object. Also, his Daggertail gives him a different button combination for speed kills, in which he strangles his victims. Coming into contact with water will allow the Prince to return to normal.

Development and production

The developers of The Two Thrones stated that they were aiming to make the game an equal blend of Ubisoft's two previous Prince of Persia titles. The first game, The Sands of Time, was relatively light in mood, while the second, Warrior Within, was significantly darker.
Yuri Lowenthal was confirmed to reprise his role as the voice actor for the Prince. Yuri was also the voice actor for the Prince in The Sands of Time. The Dark Prince was voiced by Rick Miller. Stuart Chatwood and Inon Zur, the composers from Warrior Within, both returned to compose the game's score, which has been described as "having Persian influences, but being much more epic than Sands of Time".
Many official videos were released involving humor, such as the bloopers of the mechanics (in a pre-rendered format) and "real-life" training.

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within Demo

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within PC game coverWhen Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was released last year, it was a very pleasant surprise. The game was an action adventure offering in the truest sense of the term, featuring beautifully detailed levels, environmental puzzles, and, of course, the acrobatic Prince of Persia himself. It was an amazingly faithful modernization of a beloved classic. With the newest iteration in the series, Warrior Within, developer Ubisoft Montreal appears to have addressed the biggest complaints about its forebear, which specifically involved its repetitive combat and short length. Yet while Warrior Within's new combat and satisfyingly long campaign improve on last year's game, the now darker tone falls somewhat flat compared to the storybook atmosphere in The Sands of Time. In addition, technical issues on the Xbox and PS2 platforms also mar the experience a bit. However, make no mistake: Warrior Within is a still a very worthy sequel.

Warrior Within continues the prince's story from last year's game, so, because the prince has unleashed the mystical Sands of Time, he finds himself pursued relentlessly by a menacing time monster called the Dahaka. The Dahaka is a beast that devours everything in its path like a walking black hole, so to escape it for good, the prince decides he must travel to the past to kill the Empress of Time to prevent the creation of the sands entirely. Sound like a conundrum? Well, if you can accept Back to the Future, you shouldn't have any trouble suspending your disbelief for the plot in Warrior Within...although the game is probably meant to be taken more seriously than the Michael J. Fox film. The prince's journey takes him to a ruined fortress on the Island of Time, where you'll find yourself fighting inside the castle, in mysterious caves, and in the outdoor gardens, where some of the game's most attractive level architecture can be found.
Warrior Within borrows a page from the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past in that you'll be exploring in the same areas in two different time periods. Special rooms scattered throughout the fortress let you to shift back and forth between the past and the present, and areas of the castle will change accordingly depending on the time period. So, for example, the clockwork tower that had delicate machinery and giant working gears in the past looks run-down and broken in the present day, with tree branches poking through walls and ruined pieces of machinery scattered on the floor. Of course, the path you take to navigate each room also changes depending on the time period you're in.
The new time travel mechanic serves to lengthen the game, but it also adds an element of backtracking that wasn't present in The Sands of Time. This isn't to say that Warrior Within involves as much open-ended wandering as, for example, a Metroid game. For the most part, the game still plays in a very linear way, but in some of the later levels (which feel like they were a bit rushed), it isn't always made clear which direction you should be going in. An in-game map always shows your current location, as well as the time period you should be in, but the lack of detail in the map makes it impossible for you to know exactly how you need to get to your next stop. This can sometimes lead to a bit of frustration as you fumble about, but, for the most part, it isn't a problem...so long as you're paying attention to the clues the game gives you. The good news is that even discounting the time lost from deaths and wandering aimlessly, Warrior Within is a much longer game than The Sands of Time. In fact, it should take the average player around 15 to 20 hours to complete. While the middle of the game feels like it drags a bit, an interesting twist toward the end has a drastic effect on gameplay. This same twist also freshens things up for the home stretch, which ultimately delivers you to the final, rather difficult, boss fight.
Like last year's game, the prince has the ability to rewind time for a few seconds to correct mistakes. This is a clever game conceit that lets you make up a missed jump or a combat blunder without wasting time to reload the game. There are also other time-related abilities, such as speed, which come in handy for both combat and getting through traps. There are additional spell-like abilities that can knock back and damage multiple enemies that surround the prince. All these are limited by sand slots, which can be recharged by defeating enemies in combat or by breaking open jars and other items strewn about various rooms.

The biggest new addition to the game is a deeper combat mechanic. The prince is now capable of dozens of different weapon combos, and these are context sensitive depending on whether you are holding a single weapon or dual-wielding two weapons. With a single weapon in hand, you can grab enemies and throw them. You can even strangle them. Dual-wielding takes away your throw options, but it lets you perform much more powerful weapon combos. What's interesting is that the effect of your moves changes depending on what type of weapon you have in your left hand, which is the prince's less-dominant hand. With a mace in your right hand, you can knock opponents to the ground, while a sword in your left hand lets you to chop enemies in half with certain combos. The weapon in your left hand also degrades with use, so you'll always need to pick up new ones that are dropped by fallen foes. Otherwise, you can choose to throw your secondary weapon at enemies in attempts to impale or behead them. You can, of course, still vault off of enemies and walls for more-powerful slashing attacks, and a new pole-swinging attack has been added. There's also plenty of blood and gore in Warrior Within to further spice things up. As a result, beheadings and halved bodies are par for the course once you get used to the better fighting moves.
With all these new moves available, you can imagine that there's a lot more combat in Warrior Within than in The Sands of Time. It's also quite a bit more difficult in spots. Enemies will come at you several more at a time, so you'll need to become proficient with your moves to survive. Eventually, though, you'll find that you can get through the game more efficiently when you quickly end battles by throwing opponents off of high ledges rather than laboriously finishing them off with your weapons. There are a few boss fights in the game, but, unfortunately, quite a bit of recycling has been employed, so these confrontations aren't as memorable as they could have been. What's more, most of the high-level weapon combos are all but useless against bosses, because these combos tend to get blocked. You'll end up relying mostly on dodging and the simplest of combos to steadily winnow health away from bosses.

Despite the revamped combat, the strength of Warrior Within, as in the last game, lies in its environmental puzzles. As the prince, you'll need to rely on your vast array of acrobatic moves to navigate your way through many cleverly designed rooms and traps. You can still jump, wall run, climb, mantle, swing, and vault your way from ledge to ledge and from branch to branch. You can also now make swashbuckler-style controlled falls by sinking your sword into wall tapestries and then sliding straight down as you slice through them to slow your descents. Completing the game's fiendish puzzles and navigating your way through each room tends to be extremely fun and satisfying, and it's made all the more enjoyable by the well-animated moves of the prince and the beautifully designed levels. For the most part, the rooms you go through look quite natural and do not appear as big Rube Goldberg apparatuses. This natural-looking level architecture contributes greatly toward successfully immersing you in the game's world.
The developer has even found a way to add yet more intensity to the trap-and-hazard-laden rooms of Warrior Within. Several times throughout the game, you'll meet up with the mystical Dahaka. Each of these meetings kicks off an intense chase where you must navigate several sets of hazards quickly and without hesitation, lest the Dahaka catch you. The Dahaka sequences offer a nice change of pace, but our only complaint is that the camera angles used during these scenes seem to have been picked for cinematic effect rather than efficacy of control. Consequently, repeating a chase scene a few extra times due to less-than-ideal camera angles can be frustrating.
The biggest disappointment with Warrior Within, though, actually has nothing to do with its technical gameplay. With the new emphasis on combat, which has been spiced up with added blood and gore (and an M rating), the game has taken on a much darker tone. The new prince in Warrior Within is no longer the dignified, self-deprecating nobleman he was in The Sands of Time. Instead, he comes off as an arrogant brute who yells out conceited taunts during combat, such as "You should be honored to die by my sword!" and "Why do you even bother?" While the new attitude could be explained away by his desperation, it all serves to make the prince a much-less-likable character. Add in the soundtrack, which has some bass-heavy, heavy metal influences, and the wistful fairy tale style of The Sands of Time has given way to a game that feels like it's trying a little too hard to be edgy.
Some technical flaws in the game also mar the experience somewhat. In certain cutscenes, for example, the audio lags behind the lip synching and subtitles. This is a minor disappointment, because the sound effects in the game, aside from some ham-handed voice acting from the prince, are excellent and impactful. On the graphics front, the prerendered cutscenes stutter noticeably from time to time. There aren't too many of these types of movies, though, so they don't detract too much from what is a very beautiful-looking game overall.

As far as the interface goes, the developer has done a good job of making the game playable with a mouse and keyboard. So with a bit of practice, you'll be able to successfully pull off all the prince's acrobatic moves and combat combos. However, the game is still best played with a proper controller, if only for the added precision of an analog stick.
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within is an excellent sequel to a game that caught many by surprise last year. Those who enjoy navigating through beautifully designed levels, complete with clever puzzles and traps, will definitely get their fill of them here. Moreover, the combat has improved greatly, although it's still not the principle strength of the game. However, those who primarily enjoyed last year's The Sands of Time for its original charm and subtle character development may not find quite what they're looking for in this sequel. But even with this caveat, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within is easy to recommend for any action adventure fan, and its lengthier campaign should keep players busy for a lot longer this time around.
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within is a video game and sequel to Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Warrior Within was developed and published by Ubisoft, and released on December 2, 2004 for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Microsoft Windows.[citation needed] It picks up where The Sands of Time left off, adding new features, specifically, options in combat. The Prince now has the ability to wield two weapons at a time as well as the ability to steal his enemies' weapons and throw them. The Prince's repertoire of combat moves has been expanded into varying strings that allow players to attack enemies with more complexity than was possible in the previous game. Warrior Within has a darker tone than its predecessor adding in the ability for the Prince to dispatch his enemies with various finishing moves. In addition to the rewind, slow-down, and speed-up powers from The Sands of Time, the Prince also has a new sand power: A circular "wave" of sand that knocks down all surrounding enemies, it is the first "Prince of Persia" game to be rated M by the ESRB.
Following Warrior Within, a second sequel and a prequel were made, expanding the Sands of Time story. Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones was released on November 30, 2005 and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands was released on May 18, 2010.[citation needed] A port of Warrior Within was done by Pipeworks, renamed as Prince of Persia: Revelations, and it was released on December 6, 2005 for Sony's PlayStation Portable.[citation needed] The port includes additional content including four new areas not available in the original release.[citation needed] On the 3rd of June 2010, a port of Warrior Within was released for the iOS.[citation needed] A remastered, High-Definition, version of Warrior Within was released on the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 on December 14, 2010.[1]

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is a third-person action-adventure computer and video game published by Ubisoft. It was released on November 21, 2003 and is a reboot[clarification needed] of the landmark MS-DOS and Macintosh game series Prince of Persia, created by Jordan Mechner in 1989.
The Sands of Time, developed internally at Ubisoft Montreal, successfully captures the mechanics of the original platformer and extends it to the 3D generation. An earlier attempt by The Learning Company to transfer the game to 3D (Prince of Persia 3D) was released in 1999, but despite its initial good reception failed to sell enough and the company responsible behind that original trilogy was already closing doors. The Sands of Time was praised for its visual design, finely tuned game mechanics, and intriguing storyline, winning the game several awards. It was also able to find its place in many 100 best of games lists.
The game was developed for the PC, PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, Xbox, and later a 2D-version for the Game Boy Advance and mobile phones. The success of The Sands of Time led to two sequels, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, in 2004 and 2005, respectively, and an interquel, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands in 2010. A remastered, High-Definition, version of The Sands of Time was released on the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 on November 16, 2010.[3]

top antispyware software

FBM software’s ZeroSpyware makes last into our list of top 10 antispywares.Seeing its name we assumed after a scan we would be left with zero spyware but unfortunately we had about 20 spyware left  undetected which were detected by others.Zerospyware does a good job in detecting malware, trojans and worms but isn’t upto the mark  when it comes to keyloggers and spyware.ZeroSpyware has a 24/7 live technical support for which it scores an extra point but It misses important features like antiphising, antispam and email scanning and also does not detect adware which restricts it to become a fully featured software. We expect FBM software overcome these limitations in future releases. It comes at a price of $29.95.

Spy Hunter 4

9.Spy Hunter 4:
top 10 antispyware
Enigma Software Group’s Spyhunter is very good product except for the updates support. It has very infrequent update definition list.Getting frequent updates for the latest spywares and trojans across the internet is very important and enigma failed in providing it.The UI  has some confusing elements regarding customization, but for all basic tools it remained fine.Enigma needs to take care about its definition list to compete with its rivals. It comes at a price of $39.99 .

BluePenguins Spyzooka is another spyware software which looks  good but still requires some areas to be strengthened . Spyzooka offers complete browser support which is very important. It supports IE,Firefox,Opera and Netscape. Their techincal support is also very good.Apart from this browser advantage it doesn’t actually impress us in its detection and removal techniques. It comes at a price of $29.95.It looks good enuf for no.8 spot in the top 10 antispyware count down.

7.Malwarebytes Antimalware 1.5:
top 10 antispyware
Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware is a nice lightweight program. It doesnt take much of your hard disk space ,the user interface is good with 2 scan modes – quick and full .The navigation of interface is not at all complicated. It has a tool called File Assassin which can unlock those files which are locked by some malicious programs. It does very effective job against malware and a mediocre job against spyware. We recommend using a spyware software ranked higher along with this to get top-notch protection against both malware and spyware. It is  priced at $24.95 which is quite decent and stands still at no.7 in out countdown of top antispyware softwares

STOPzilla 5

6.STOPzilla 5:
best antispyware of 2011

When we first looked at the feature set of this product we were impressed and expected it to be in top 3.But we are disappointed with the test results as they are not strong enough to detect some keyloggers and trojans though it was effective with spyware and malware. The user interface is good and simple but nothing exceptional to talk about. It is a very good product for detecting spyware but we don’t recommend it to be a must have because others are providing better detection and removal.Scanning is neither too fast nor too slow.A full scan happened over for 20 minutes. It still hasn’t became a complete spyware software as it has some missing features like antispam, email scanning. It comes at a price of $39.95 which is a bit overrated.

Ad-Aware Pro 8.3

4.Ad-Aware Pro 8.3
best antispyware 2011
Lavasoft’s Ad-aware is another brilliant anti-spyware software. It is simple, effective and lightweight. The userinterface is good  and has two modes for basic users and advanced ones.Ad-Watch Live! Expert technology gives realtime protection to your computer.Lavasoft’s Genocode detection technology another important feature which is Ad-Aware’s advanced heuristic detection, which will proactively scan files  and analyses if a file is malicious by nature, even if it is not on the  virus definitions yet.Adware is very effective against spyware when compared to other anitvirus products but not good as those which are specifically designed for spyware like spysweeper, counterspy, etc .It does not use many resources and works just fine  even on a PC with 512MB ram. There are some missing features like antispam and email scanner that restricts it becoming the best, but it does the job very well with its  limited features. It comes at a price of $29.95 for 1 PC and makes its space at no.4 on top 10 antispyware softwares.

PC tools Spyware Doctor 2011

3.PC tools Spyware Doctor 2011:
top 10 antispyware
PC tools is a major player in providing anti-spyware software over the past few years.Spyware Doctor 2011 keeps up with its reputation and is ranked number 3 in our Top 10 antispyware list. Talking about user interface,Spyware doctor has a unique UI.There are no sub menus, dialog boxes entirely. It is a simple tab design and whatever you want to do ,it is just a click away which is very pleasing for beginners .Generally we need an active internet connection for our security products to keep our data safe.Spware doctor doesn’t actually rely on definiton database but can actually have the technology to make on-the-fly choices. We found it very effective even when it’s not updated. So for users who don’t have an internet connection everyday, spyware doctor is the best bet. Intelliscan is one of the important features that spyware doctor possess which can stop spyware from entering your PC that were previously detected. So once it detects a spyware on your pc ,there is no chance that it comes back again.Spyware doctor is very heavy on using pc resources and you need a decent system with 2GB ram to run it smoothly which is the main disadvantage and made us rank no. 3 among the top 10 antivirus.PC tools provide good technical support over telephone, email and live chat. It comes at a price of $29.99 for 1 PC.

Sunbelt CounterSpy 4.0.3904

2.Sunbelt CounterSpy 4.0.3904:
top 10 antispyware
Sunbelt Software’s Counterspy came second in our list of top ten antispyware.CounterSpy did a fair job in detecting spywares. The main area where Counterspy scores more over Webroot spysweeper and other antispyware products is its user interface.Sunbelt software did a fantastic job with its user interface where other products failed.Customisation of the software is one of the areas where Sunbelt achieved most.It has modes like Kernel-level 24/7 Active Protection with default settings for novice users however and an expert user can easily tell the software what to detect and what to clean.Another area where counterspy is better than spysweeper is resource usage,Counterspy can run smoothly even if your system has less than 1GB of Ram.So for users who are having older systems,we will definitely recommend Counterspy than spysweeper.Though counterspy has these advantages over other products ,the detection of spyware is not as good as spysweeper which made us rank it no.2 in the top 10 antispyware list. The scanning time is less than spysweeper (about 20 minutes for a pc with above mentioned specs) .Like all other products counterspy protects you from adware, malware, spyware, trojans etc.The only missing feature we found in spysweeper is anti-spam support.Overall Counterspy is a very great product at a very reasonable  price of $19.95 for 1 PC.

Webroot SpySweeper 2011

1.Webroot SpySweeper 2011:
top 10 antispyware
The number 1 recommendation is always easy for the past couple of years.Webroot’s popular Spysweeper software continues its brilliant detection of spywares in its 2011 version too.Undoubtedly it is the best anti-spyware solution available today. In its 2011 version Webroot came up with some new features like online backup so you can access your files anywhere. The scanning speed of spysweeper is slower when compared to other products but it has the best detection techniques that made us rank it higher than others.Spysweeper has a clean and simple user interface providing options like game mode etc so that it doesn’t slow down your pc while you are gaming.Webroot provides free customer support to you over telephone, email, Facebook and twitter which is quite good.Coming to system performance while using the software,it definitely slows down your system if it has below 1Ghz processor and less than 1GB ram.Systems having above these specifications doesn’t notice any lag and spysweeper works smoothly.A complete scanning on our system having 3Ghz processor,2GB ram,500Gb hardisk running Windows 7 took about 25-30 minutes which is reasonable.Spysweeper has 3 scanning modes namely quick scan, full scan and custom scan.Webroot Spysweeper comes with many features like detecting ad-ware,malware, key-loggers, root kits, spyware, tracking cookies, Trojans etc. Spysweeper also supports anti-phishing, anti-spam,auto updates, email scanning, restoring mode, scheduling scan.Spysweeper costs $29.95 for 1 PC.All in all we rate webroot antispyware no.1 in the top 10 antispyware count down.

McAfee AntiVirus Plus 2011

McAfee AntiVirus Plus 2011

McAfee AntiVirus Plus 2011
  • Pros
Very good malware blocking overall. SiteAdvisor toolbar's malicious web site blocking very effective in testing. Includes firewall, remote management, secure deletion. QuickClean module helps performance by deleting unnecessary files; also deletes browsing traces.
  • Cons Installation on one infested system required hours of phone support. Malware cleanup left behind significant traces. Endless remove-and-reboot cycle failed to remove one active threat. SiteAdvisor failed in antiphishing test. Firewall program control is simplistic.
  • Bottom Line
McAfee AntiVirus Plus is really good at defending a clean system, less good at cleaning up when the malware has already invaded. Those looking for a minimal suite may find this product with its antivirus, firewall, and tune-up components fills the bill.

Although McAfee's 2010 antivirus appeared in the fall of 2009 the new 2010 features didn't all trickle in until several months later. McAfee's continuous update system means that customers received the updates automatically, as soon as they were available, but PCMag couldn't review the product until they all arrived. McAfee AntiVirus Plus 2011 ($39.99 direct or $59.99 for three licenses) is available right now, with no waiting around for additional features.
The significant 2010 update included a user interface makeover and some serious feature changes. You won't see a lot of difference in the 2011 edition, and much of the enhancements that do exist aren't visible. You'll only notice the promised fewer interruptions and better handling of battery life by the problems you don't have, for example, and few will grasp the firewall's new ability to track UDP connections.
That new user interface introduced with the 2010 edition is rather different from the usual security product. It's smaller than most and oriented vertically rather than horizontally. Each of a stacked list of features expands with a click to reveal detailed status and configuration options.
McAfee's Navigation Center offers a different view of the program's features. In a single list it offers access to important tasks and settings within the program as well as links to McAfee's virus map, hacker watch, and other online resources. Some features such as the History and Logs link aren't easily accessible except through the Navigation Center.

That unusual vertical orientation doesn't play well in the History and Log window. This window stacks up nine distinct logging areas. If you're looking for evidence of a recent event but don't know which log to search you'll have to open each panel individually and scroll vertically to see what's what. I wish that each logging area's panel at least included a count of the items found in that log or a flag for recent activity.
At any time you can pull up a security report on the program's actions during the last 30 days. The report lists such statistics as the number of viruses detected and the number of programs blocked by the firewall but lacks links to get more detail beyond the bare numbers.
McAfee's antivirus includes a number of features normally associated with a full security suite rather than a standalone antivirus, a trend I've observed in other recent releases. Like Panda Antivirus Pro 2011 ($50.95 direct for three licenses, 3.5 stars) McAfee includes a personal firewall. Like BitDefender Antivirus Pro 2011 ($39.95 direct for three licenses, 3.5 stars) it lets you monitor and manage the configuration of other installations on your network. Where AVG Anti-Virus Free 2011 (Free, 3.5 stars) checks for dangerous links with its LinkScanner toolbar, McAfee relies on its SiteAdvisor toolbar.
Balky Installer
Installing McAfee on my thirteen malware-infested test systems was more of a challenge than I expected. One system installed but refused to update; fortunately the update problem vanished after a full scan. Five of the test systems encountered an "Unexpected error" that forced the full scan to restart, though they did eventually finish.
In many cases McAfee's real-time protection popped up right after installation reporting that it had deleted a Trojan or asking permission to remove a lower-risk threat. One sample, though, completely bamboozled McAfee. The real-time protection system detected it and requested a reboot to complete removal. After reboot it did the same again and again and again, without end. That won't impress users.
On one system McAfee's installer halted and ordered me to first uninstall an incompatible antivirus. In fact it was a fake antivirus, a scareware program. Not only does it lack an uninstall routine it actively fights removal. Refusing to install in this circumstance seems short-sighted to me.
McAfee tech support supplied a version of their Stinger utility optimized for use against fake antivirus, but it didn't do the job. In the end I had to sit on the phone for two hours while a McAfee technician cleaned up the system by remote control, drawing on a wide collection of non-McAfee tools. I got the program installed but I lost two hours of productive work. Norton AntiVirus 2011 ($39.99 direct, 4.5 stars) installed on these exact same test systems without incident, as did Webroot AntiVirus with Spy Sweeper 2011 ($49.99 direct for three licenses, 4.5 stars).
Mixed Lab Results
ICSA Labs and West Coast Labs test antivirus programs against a huge collection of malware samples. Both certify McAfee's antivirus technology for virus detection and removal; West Coast adds checkmark certification for detection of Trojans and general malware. McAfee didn't receive the VB100% aware in the very latest test by Virus Bulletin, but it got the award the other nine of its last ten attempts.
AV-Comparatives.org conducts ongoing antivirus tests, alternating on-demand virus removal tests with proactive detection tests. A product must achieve the STANDARD rating to pass; the best products rate ADVANCED or ADVANCED+. McAfee received an ADVANCED rating in the latest on-demand test but just STANDARD in the proactive test. In a one-time dynamic whole-product test last year McAfee also rated STANDARD.
AV-Test.org recently rated a collection of security programs on their ability to repair a malware-infested system, their usability, and their overall protection. Somehow McAfee rated 2 of 6 possible points for repair, 3.5 for usability, and 5 for overall protection. Kaspersky, Norton, and Panda all rated 5 or 5.5 in all categories.
